Facelift (rhytidectomy)

Doctor Arons often recommends facelifts for patients looking to reduce sagging skin on the face and neck. A facelift can be helpful in the quest to make these areas to appear firmer and fresher. Dr, Arons believes it is important for people considering a facelift to understand that bone structure, heredity, and skin texture all play a role in how many “years” a facelift can “remove” and, to some extent, influence how long it will last. A facelift is performed on one side of the face at a time, working through incisions that are placed in the hairline, as well as in front of and behind the ears, so that they are as inconspicuous as possible. The skin of the face is then redraped, and the excess removed. The scars can usually be easily concealed by the hair and with use of makeup when necessary. A facelift can tighten jowls, elevate cheeks, and flatten folds. Extra skin of the neck is redraped. A facelift, like most other plastic surgical procedures, will not necessarily make you look younger, but will make you look livelier and more vibrant. After facelift surgery, you may experience some temporary skin discoloration and perhaps tightness and numbness. Healing is gradual, so expect to wait several months for optimal results. You should plan to recover at home for at least two weeks. Since your skin will remain somewhat sensitive for a few months, protection from the sun, including daily use of a sunblock, is essential. Eyelid Surgery (blepharoplasty)

The eyes are the focal point of the face, contributing substantially to overall facial appearance. Bags beneath the eyes, wrinkled drooping layers of skin on the eyelids, and sagging eyebrows give the entire face a perpetually tired or sad expression.

Aesthetic eyelid surgery performed by Doctor Arons can brighten the face and restore a more youthful appearance by reducing the fat and extra skin that cause these conditions. The doctor frequently recommends blepharoplasty be performed along with a facelift or with other facial rejuvenating procedures. More

Surgery of the Nose (rhinoplasty)

With rhinoplasty, Doctor Arons can reshape the nose in a number of ways to improve its appearance and proportion in relation to other facial features.

Many of his patients have chosen to have this surgery to alter the size and shape of the bridge and tip of the nose. Although there is no age limit for rhinoplasty, the mid-teens, a time when the nose is near full development, is the earliest recommended age. With older individuals, health is the primary consideration. Reshaping of the nose is generally performed through incision inside the nose, but there may also be an incision passing across the central portion of the nose between the nostrils. More

Ear Surgery (otoplasty)

Aesthetic plastic surgery is used by Doctor Arons as an effective method to improve the positioning of ears if they are large in proportion to other features or protrude more than normal.

Usually, otoplasty is performed on children, just before they are ready to start school so as to avoid embarrassment and ridicule. Surgery is possible at any age, but is often recommended for children as they near total ear development at age 5 or 6. When the ears are corrected prior to the child entering school, the surgery helps eliminate potential psychological trauma. In some cases, your insurance carrier may cover this surgery. More
